Bar Chord is open 363 days a year so it is important for Jonny and I to build in downtime into our days. One of our favorite ways to relax is to take our dog for a walk in Prospect Park and I personally enjoy a little time at the Third Root Community Health Center on Marlborough.
Prospect Park is a sprawling expanse of green space right in the heart of Brooklyn. Locals enjoy the fact that it's a more natural and less touristy alternative to Central Park. There are a number of greens, playgrounds, a bike path, a zoo and botanical gardens. The park is open daily form 5AM to 1AM.
The Third Root Community Health Center on Marlborough is one of the best places for mind/body renewal. The center offers yoga, acupuncture, and massage all at a sliding scale to make sure these services are open to all who need them.
