Recess in Prospect Park

The bar can be all consuming at times, and so my free time is pretty dedicated to hanging out with my partner Max and our dog Totes. We live pretty close to Prospect Park, and love to go on big walks as a pack. If we’re feeling picnic-y we’ll stop into 209 Station in Windsor Terrace and get some snacks for the park. Alternatively we’ll come back to the hood to visit Gowanus Wine Merchants and grab some new bottles to try and then cook at home.

Prospect Park is a sprawling expanse of green space right in the heart of Brooklyn. Locals enjoy the fact that it's a more natural and less touristy alternative to Central Park. There are a number of greens, playgrounds, a bike path, a zoo and botanical gardens. The park is open daily form 5AM to 1AM.
