Romance and Rock 'n' Roll in Greenpoint

Whether you’re trying to impress your crush on a first date or you’ve managed to escape the kids for a parents’ night out, you can’t go wrong with a night out in Greenpoint, with maybe a dash into northern Williamsburg. I love Greenpoint because it’s a little further away, and not as congested as Williamsburg, making it a little quieter, cozier, and hidden. Browse vinyl at Greenpoint’slocal record shops, get a fancy craft cocktail, a bite to eat, and if you’re still awake, a concert at a local music venue.

Head to Cherry point for a cocktail, oysters, and dinner- the sooner, the better, because they have a great happy hour. I remember the first time I stepped foot in this cool little space, intending only to stay for drinks, and staying for over 3 hours. Everything I have ever had here has been perfect and delicious, making it no surprise that it became my go-to date spot.

Music Hall of Williamsburg

There are a lot of notable music venues in Greenpoint and North Williamsburg, but the Music Hall of Williamsburg is my favorite. There doesn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house, and if you get tired of the crowd on the main floor, you can retreat to a nice perch at the bar upstairs. Tickets here usually sell out, so be sure to plan in advance.
