12-acre park on four piers along the East River offering restored gantries & Manhattan views.
Gantry Plaza State Park is spread out among 12-acres overlooking the East River and midtown Manhattan skyline. The park offers amazing views of the Empire State Building and the United Nations. In addition to the restored gantries, monuments once used to load and unload rail car floats and barges.
The park offers a great place to stroll as well as a number of recreational activities, including; basketball courts, playgrounds, handball courts, and a fishing pier. Gantry Plaza isn't only for relaxing, you can also catch a ferry to Manhattan from the pier.
